About the Cause
A dementia diagnosis can be scary and overwhelming.
In Canada, over 600,000 people are living with dementia. By 2030, this number is expected to reach close to one million.
Here in Alberta, we will see an increase of 286% in the number of people living with dementia by 2050. The need to arm our community with emerging, evidence-based information and local resources has never been greater.
That is why we need your help.
From family members and caregivers to neighbours and colleagues, everyone is impacted by a dementia diagnosis. The only way forward is together.
Impact
Funds raised at the 2024 Alzheimer Calgary Walk & Run will go directly to providing essential support, education, and care for thousands of community members each year. At Alzheimer Calgary, local families can get the support they need thanks to your help.
