This year my family and I are walking for Alzheimers in Calgary in memory of my cousin Theresa who passed away in May from Early Onset Alzheimers at the age of 56.
The past 4 years have been extremely difficult for all of us as we have watched her health decline. Although, we knew of the eventual outcome, we were still deeply saddened by her passing.
It feels fitting that her friends and family are coming together to walk in her memory. I hope that Theresa is up there eating ice cream and smiling down on us and sending her love. I miss her all the time and with these donations, i hope to further research so that other families don't have to go through the same loss as we did.
