By supporting us in this race, you're supporting Alzheimer Calgary and the essential care, education, and support they provide for local families impacted by dementia.
Your support means so much and I want to raise money for those families that are in need. Lois fought hard to maintain her memories when she was diagnosed with early onset in her mid 60's by reading lots of books and playing memory games on her Ipad and her and my dad continued to travel as much as they could.
We were lucky to be able to keep her in the house she loved and she fought with all her might to keep that sparkle in her eye and laughter in her life. Even near the end, she still loved to dance, laugh and enjoy the sweet treats in life.
When we take strides for dementia together, we're showing no one has to be defined by a diagnosis.
